This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes in Shielded Metal Arc Welding in accordance with industry standards.

It covers core competencies such as Setting-up Welding Equipment, Preparing Weld Materials, Fitting up Weld Materials, Welding Carbon Steel Plates Using SMAW and Repairing Welds.

Food & Beverages Services NC II

This assessment evaluates/assesses the knowledge and skills on the basics of food and beverage service in food establishments such as restaurants, hotels, canteens, clubs, motels and resorts. They also trained to provide room service, prepare tables, clean and clear food service areas.

The FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to provide food and beverage service to guests in various food and beverage service facilities.

Bartending Services NC II

This assessment evaluates/assesses the knowledge, skills, and attitude of a bartender in cleaning bar areas, operating bar, preparing and mixing cocktails in accordance with industry standards.

The BARTENDING NC ll Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to operate a bar, prepare and mix cocktails and non-alcoholic concoctions and provide basic wine service to guests in all food and beverage service providers except for “Specialty Coffee Shops”.

Travel Services NC II

This assessment evaluates/assesses the knowledge, skills, and attitude of an individual in the field of tour servicing in accordance with industry standards. It covers specialized competencies such as: facilitates the issuance of travel documents, and arrange and make reservations for travel related services.

The TRAVEL SERVICES NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to manage the travelers’ request for pre to post trips. It issues necessary travel documents and arranges reservations for travel related services.

Tourism Promotion Services NC II

This assessment & evaluates/assesses the knowledge of Individual in the field of Tourism Promotion Services assessed operate an automated information system, source and provide destination information and advice, access and interpret product information, and promote tourism products and services.

The TOURISM PROMOTION SERVICES NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to advocate and sell tourism destination, products and services through technology-based information gathering and application of sales and promotions principles and techniques.

Tour Guiding Services NC II

The TOUR GUIDING SERVICES NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to assist and guide the tourists and coordinate their itinerary from the day of arrival at a specific destination up to the day of departure. They serve as a constant traveling companion for the tourists and see to it that whatever is contracted by the tour operator abroad is given as per contract as specified in the itinerary.

Local Guiding Services NC II

This assessment evaluates/assesses the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of an individual in the field of Local Guiding Services such as coordinating tour program/itinerary, guiding and accompanying tourist in the locality in accordance with industry standards.

Ship’s Catering Services NC I

This assessment evaluates/assesses the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required in rendering catering services on board ship in accordance with maritime industry standards. Its core of training covers competencies in providing mess hall services, performing housekeeping services as well as providing assistance in receiving and storing provision and supplies.

This course covers the comprehensive competencies required to become a responsible and effective mess man working on board in commercial and/or passenger vessels serving the international trade.

This assessment evaluates/assesses the knowledge and skills in the preparation of guest rooms, cleaning clothes, doing laundry, cleaning premises and equipment. The program also includes topics in housekeeping for establishments such as hospitals, hotels, clubs, dormitories and luxury liners.

The HOUSEKEEPING NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to prepare guest rooms, clean public areas, and equipment, provide housekeeping services, provide valet services, handle intoxicated guest, and laundry linen and guest clothes to a range of accommodation services

The FRONT OFFICE SERVICES NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must possess in order to be able to conduct the process of making a reservation, registering and checking-in and checking out a guest in commercial accommodation establishments.

Events Management Services NC III

This assessment evaluates/assesses the knowledge, skills, behavior, and motivations in Events Management Services in accordance with local industry.

The EVENTS MANAGEMENT SERVICES NC III Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to coordinate events, functions and/or conferences which may be held in conference centers, hotels, motels, restaurants, clubs, resorts and luxury liners. It includes competencies on event planning such as planning and developing an event proposal, concept, and program, selecting a venue and site and updating event industry knowledge, as well as competencies in on-site event management such as providing onsite management services, managing contractors and updating knowledge on protocol.

Trainers Methodology I

This assessment must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency. Successful candidates shall be awarded a National TM Certificate signed by the TESDA Director General.

This qualification is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, positive attitude and work values of the learner in accordance with the prevailing standards in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.
